Strong agree on the last paragraph. I have watched people set up lighting stands on that street like it is a studio. It is a row of houses. Shoot it, keep moving, do not block driveways.

The pastel shophouse row is still worth shooting but only in a narrow window. After about 8am the residents' cars are back along the kerb and there is no angle that hides them. Two things that are not on the spot page. First, shoot from the odd-numbered side — the light wraps the facades instead of flattening them. Second, this is somebody's street. People live there and they are visibly tired of photographers. Keep your voice down and do not set up a tripod in a driveway.

The odd-numbered side tip is right and I had never worked out why my frames looked flat. Went at 7:20 this morning, no cars, light wrapping properly. Completely different photo.
